On March 23, 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe released the Goods Certification and Evaluation Scheme (CBCA) on its official website. According to the CBCA scheme, starting from May 16, 2015, all goods exported to Zimbabwe must undergo product certification before being shipped offshore. After passing the certification, obtain the CBCA certificate, and present the CBCA certificate when the goods arrive in Zimbabwe for customs clearance. If a CBCA certificate is not obtained, Zimbabwe Customs will refuse entry.

Apply for a certificate and prepare documents
Test report (issued by a third-party laboratory with ISO17025/CNAS qualification)

UCR number (request from importer)
Document review, testing:
The issuing authority will review all information provided by traders and review whether they comply with their standards and regulations.
Inspect
The on-site inspection will be carried out after completing the above steps
Verified qualified and issued a certificate
After the inspection is completed, the issuing authority will compare the documents and inspection reports provided by the traders. If the verification is qualified, an electronic qualified COC certificate will be issued.
